日本のことを説明するために覚えておきたい表現を3つだけピックアップします。
1. consist of
意味：〜から成る、〜で構成される
使用例：「The exam consists of five subjects.」
日本語語順そのまま訳：その試験は／構成される／5つの科目で。
補足：全体が部分でできていることを表す際によく使われる表現。同義表現に be composed of や be made up of がある。
2. test
意味：試す、試験する、知識を問う
使用例：「The exam tests knowledge of Japanese history.」
日本語語順そのまま訳：その試験は／試す／知識を／日本の歴史の。
補足：「知識を問う」「評価する」というニュアンスで使われる。フォーマルには assess や measure に置き換え可能。
3. exempt
意味：免除する、〜を免除されている
使用例：「Candidates are exempt from the English test if they have a TOEIC score of 900 or higher.」
日本語語順そのまま訳：受験者は／免除されている／英語試験から／もし彼らが／持っているなら／TOEIC900点以上を。

毎年、どんな問題が出るのか、勝手に予想するのが楽しみです。
米ニューヨークタイムズの「2024年に行くべき52ヶ所」に選ばれていた山口市。2024年地理の試験問題では山口に関する問題が6問出ていました。
富山市・大阪市が米有力紙「2025年に行くべき52の場所」に選出されました！｜JNTOからのお知らせ｜JNTO（日本政府観光局）
米TIME誌の「世界で最も素晴らしい場所 2023」で取り上げられていたのは名古屋や京都。2023年地理の試験問題では京都に関する問題が4問出ていました。
今年は、新潟佐渡島、佐賀唐津、和歌山那智、京都ニンテンドーミュージアムが取り上げられていました。

富山は2023年に出題されていますから除外。新潟は過去問でほとんど出ていませんし、佐渡は世界遺産にもなったので最有力。大阪も万博やIRで有望。和歌山の那智の滝や熊野古道は必須の知識。ニンテンドーミュージアム（任天堂）からの派生でスイッチ、ポケモン、イチローさん、MLB、大谷翔平選手など（これは可能性あるのは一般常識の試験でしょうか）。
